Frogbert[edit]

Lesser Spirit of Commerce
A relatively young Spirit, Frogbert was formed from the residual energies of trade transactions upon the island of Sarea. Originally in the body of a frog, he began a series of trade transactions where, after each one, he grew in size. Once he made it to his goal, a piece of Adamantite, he promptly exploded and turned into a large blue anthromorphic amphibian. Now, he shows up every few years to peddle his wares to the people. Who knows what one might get from this kindly, yet aloof being?

Tanzaku The Wishgranter[edit]

Lesser Spirit of Wishgranting
It is said that when Melous the Cloudwalker vowed never again to set foot on land after her terrible flood, her hidden wish to care for mortals spawned new life borne of a shooting star. But Tanzaku the Wishgranter rebelled against Melous. Though it was unintentionally created to watch over mortals and provide for their needs in her stead, Tanzaku was angry when it learned of Melous' story. Spiteful, Tanzaku ignored its reason for creation and instead chose to sleep through numerous Convergences and world events, even as Vul'karik's and Oberon's forces ravaged the land. Nothing could rouse the Wishgranter from its self-imposed coma until humanity had proved itself deserving of Melous' kindness by returning the Dragons to Rhyst. And so it began the work it was created for. Those who have come into contact with Tanzaku report that it is a harsh, grumpy spirit, yet fair to proven defenders of Rhyst.

Lazarus[edit]

Lesser Spirit of Lotus Flowers
Created as a result of an agreement between Samsara and Eschen that the cycle of life and death is necessary for the balance of Rhyst. As the spirit of lotus flowers, which symbolically represent rebirth, Lazarus wields minor power over souls. Once a spirit that frolicked alongside mortals, Lazarus suffered a fate similar to Melous the Cloudwalker. Ages ago, mortals attempted to hunt and capture it for its powers and domain. Mistrustful and pained, Lazarus hid itself away within its domain located deep in the Autumn Forest, nigh impossible to locate without the spirit's guidance. The spirit was rediscovered in 1022 AC when Clive Faelon and his companions went on an expedition to obtain more lotus flowers for Providence. Lazarus made a brief public appearance when transporting Clive's party back to their city. The spirit is still reclusive and hides away in its domain, but it has now become more trusting. The few who have interacted with the spirit report that it is lonely and quite fond of playing games once it has come to trust a mortal. However, it has strong opinions on the Convergence and other spiritual affairs. It would be best to tread carefully when seeking out Lazarus, since it seems this spirit's mood can change in an instant.

Beelzebub[edit]

Lesser Spirit of Mead
Created long ago when a mortal stole a beehive from Sylva's domain and made a delectable mead with the magical honey found within. The beehive became the Spirit Beelzebub's physical home. She commands the bees within, who travel all of Rhyst for the most beautiful and fragrant flowers to collect pollen from. The spirit is a nomadic sort, taking its beehive from place to place, often establishing it in abandoned buildings. There, she will tempt travelers by having the bees whisper rumors of grand parties in those abandoned buildings on the wind. Either they will go themselves or spread the rumor. When travelers arrive, Beelzebub will try to coax the party into going wild, causing as much fun and chaos as possible. While she's whimsical and light-hearted (with a love for bee-related puns), especially compared to other spirits, Beelzebub is not one to trifle with. She has no issue smiting those who do not amuse her or become wild enough at a party without a second thought.

Active on Nera[edit]

Nera[edit]

Lesser Spirit of Nera Island and Nera Academy
Once a giant black squid that patrolled the shores of Nera island, its domain, in complete isolation. When Nera Academy was built upon the island, the changes to its domain altered its powers, mind, and chosen form. Nera shrank and took on a child-like form resembling the students that attended the Academy, but grew more powerful, for it now wielded control not only over the physical domain of the island and school, but the conceptual domain of Nera Academy as well. Nera, shy and unaccustomed to mortals, kept itself hidden and silently watched over the Academy until the end of the year feast in 1032 AC. Now it roams the school on occasion, happy to play with, prank, and talk to the students and staff of the Academy. It is gentle and kind-hearted, but socially inept; therefore, its pranks may be unintentionally harmful or terrifying at times.
