Paschia Fel

History and Myth

The only Eidolon who may truly challenge Vul’Karik within his own domain of the Void, Paschia Fel once stood beside him as an ally. After the departure of the other two Eidolons who claimed the Void, Paschia Fel and Vul’Karik were the two greatest powers of the plane. For a time, this partnership worked, though that proved to be a finite pairing of their power.

Jealous of Vul’Karik’s renown and strength, Paschia Fel sought to undermine the Void King, and she was capable enough to ensure her work went unnoticed. She began by convincing Vul’Karik to grant her dominion over some of the undead, and though he did, she stripped them of their corporeal, rotting bodies that would tether them to the Void King, creating the first phantoms.

Paschia Fel sent these raw and tortured souls back into the natural world to terrorize and influence the living before they died, and it was through these Phantoms that the Eidolon managed to grow her own numbers. Some mortals made pacts out of fear, others due to necessity or a lust for power in their own fleeting lives. Whatever the reason, these pacted agents were gifted with an element of the Void, the ever burning Felfire. Much of their work was seen as taboo or corruptive, and as such many in Rhyst persecuted and imprisoned any who would work with the influence of the Void Eidolon. They became known as witches and warlocks, and upon death, they joined the true and eternal ranks of the Paschia Fel.

Given she had built a network and spread her influence far enough to stand alone, Paschia Fel claimed the moniker of the Witch Queen and separated her followers from Vul’Karik’s masses. She announced her great and focused ambition in ruling the Void herself, for she believes there is more potential found in working within its darkness than attempting to conquer the rest of the planes. This division has led to the turbulent war that rages across the Void between demons and witches, ghoul and ghost, and given the nature of the Eidolons as nearly eternal beings, it is uncertain if this war may ever truly end.

Notable Creations

Phantoms

Paschia Fel’s first creations were the phantoms, souls claimed by Vul’Karik that were meant to revive their corporeal bodies. Knowing that the physical form bound them ultimately to the Void King, Paschia Fel rid them of their skin and bones and ensured the soul itself would live on. Unable to pass on and unable to return to true life, these souls live as ghosts and phantoms that Paschia Fel sent to Rhyst to haunt the living and steal them away from both Limbo and Vul’Karik’s grasp through binding pacts of old magic.

Witchcraft

Witches and Warlocks are the mortal servants of Paschia Fel, and though they serve loyally throughout life, they serve best once they pass on into death. As mortal beings capable of great magic, they are capable of wielding Felfire with proficiency among other manipulative spells not otherwise achievable via natural study and practice.
