Lilith

Behold the thirst of the Blood God.

Epithet: The Bloodthirster[edit]

Introduction[edit]

Long ago, Relkath drew the Ichor of Oberon. It is with this single drop of blood and a creature whose path resembled that of Oberon himself that Lilith, the long-lost sister to the Bloodspiller, would be revived from her slumber. Though her body and mind are fractured, they grow now into a replica of what they once were, utilizing Clementine for their resurgence.

Background[edit]

When the Unseelie and Oberon did battle, it is with Lilith and Relkath that he was fended off. But as with the Shimmer, not many can stand against the King of Truth for long. Within time, the Unseelie was felled and removed from its position of power in the Faewild, weakened by the shrinking presence of war and finished by His blade itself.

... And yet, though Oberon is truly mighty- and perhaps mightiest, nowadays- He is not without flaw. For when Lilith was felled and Relkath remained as the final bastion of the Unseelie, He could not place upon them the same curse He placed upon the Shimmer. He was greedy, and saw the value of Relkath as a soldier. Rather than wipe the Unseelie's namesake from existence, He stilled his blade.

Relkath was spared, such that their great pursuit could begin; Lilith, however, was sundered.

Many years later, Relkath was captured and "obtained" by Oberon. Over their ensuing partnership, Relkath would suffuse the land with bloodshed, carving free Yggdrasil from its place in the Faewild and allowing Felsen Skarn and the High Faerlan to teleport it into Rhyst. Each and every time Relkath acted, his blades drew from the world its vital lifeblood...

And over hundreds upon hundreds of years, this cost grew great enough that even the sundered Lilith began roiling with newfound power.

Having drawn the Ichor of Oberon as a price for their partnership, Relkath poured it upon the severed spine of Lilith- deemed Vainglory for the purposes of disguising it as his weapon- and sought to return her to the world as a breathing General of the Unseelie once more. This was interrupted by a Seer of Arlandria, Clementine Skarn, who forestalled the process with his own body and soul.

This gave enough time to push Relkath back and force him to revert to his primordial shape, but ultimately doomed Clementine to an eternity sharing a mind with Lilith. What percentage remains is unclear, but the fact that his body remains as the chosen shape of the General strongly implies that his lingering essence will remain for the duration of Lilith's unending revival.

Now, it's unsure exactly what Lilith seeks to do. Though she is revived, it will take a great deal of time to recuperate and acclimate to a new form. It is heavily implied that Clementine still bears some control, and thus one might anticipate her to refocus efforts on defeating Oberon alongside Relkath, becoming the weapon the Unseelie was always meant to be...

... Or perhaps they too will flood the Faewild with their influence as the Shimmer did so long ago, becoming a nuisance of cataclysmic proportion.

Trivia[edit]

Lilith is known to follow in Relkath's wake, much in the way that Karrador followed Vul'karik's.

Unlike Relkath, Lilith bears few correlations to beasts and their claws. Instead, she is oft viewed as a practitioner of blood magic.

To what extent her magic extends, we aren't quite sure. Lilith "died" long before humans gained their grasp on the world, and far before humans gained a grasp on the planes. Some theorize it fixates on creating creatures of her Aspect, in the same way that Karrador creates undead.

If nothing else, the Unseelie's resurgence implies rebellion in the Faewild. Titania is given a chance to breathe, as are the other component Eidolons and Generals- few could hope to contend with Oberon other than the Bloodspiller and Bloodthirster themselves.
