Epithet: The Void King[edit]

History and Myth[edit]

Considered to be the physically strongest and mightiest of all living Eidolons, Vul’Karik has been warped and shaped by the struggles the Void Eidolons have faced over their great and timeless history. He currently rules as the unrivaled King of the Void, and as such he has claimed this and many other synonymous titles as accolades. No living mortal has ever seen Vul’Karik in person, though many know of his legions, and some claim to have witnessed him in visions or nightmares.

Those accounts, if they’re to be believed, form the imagery of a beast so twisted and so large that even the greatest hero’s courage would melt in his presence. The tales differ, though they all agree on the nature of the giant’s size as well as his musculature and demonic form. Many say Vul’Karik is a creature foreign to the notion of light, and others believe that it’s because of this that the Void King wishes to corrupt and conquer the rest of the planes.

Vul’Karik is dedicated to the cause of forcing the four splintered realms back into their original form of the dark and timeless Void, and he has amassed the armies necessary to someday achieve such a grandiose goal. As a secondary action to spite the Eidolon who abandoned him, Vul’Karik has drawn much of his force from the souls of the dead, for he is the creator of necromancy, an art which pulls a living being out of the cycle between life, death, and rebirth allowed by the properties of Limbo.

After pursuing these ambitions for some untold amount of time, Vul’Karik has become a being consumed by his spite, his wrath, and his desire for vengeance against any and all who he believes betrayed him.

Notable Creations[edit]

Demons[edit]

Vul’Karik’s first and foremost creations are the demons who serve under him. These creatures may have once been a preliminary race that existed within the first and infinite Void, or they may have been formed as Vul’Karik came to realize a need for allies. In any case, their origins are shrouded in mystery, and even their true nature is unknown. Their forms are physical in make and solid to the touch, and they resemble their creator in many ways. Demons are capable of great amounts of destruction and should not be engaged in solo combat.

Undead[edit]

The rest of Vul’Karik’s armies are made up of the undead. These poor, enslaved souls take the form of shambling skeletons, ghouls, or other atrocious creations made to mock the living. Given their nature, Vul’Karik is well aware that the undead form a nearly endless supply of soldiers to his force, and it is for this very reason that he is one of the most feared of the standing Eidolons today.
